Additin RC 4203 is a non-staining, bariumfree anticorrosion additive giving excellent results in Kesternich cabinet (alternating and constant climates) and in the salt spray cabinet. Additin RC 4203 shows superior solubility in high paraffinic base oils or aromatic-free solvents even at low temperatures. It was developed specifically for use in rust preventatives based on mineral oils or white spirits. Additin RC 4203 surpasses the performance of conventional Barium type products. Additin RC 4203 has outstanding anticorrosive properties. In most cases temporary preservatives based on Additin RC 4203 can be removed by alkaline washing. Additin RC 4203 can also be used as a corrosion inhibitor in lubricating greases.
Additin RC 4203 is a thixotrope fluid. A higher treatment level of Additin RC 4203 in oil can lead to a strong increase in viscosity. The viscosity is decreased by shear strain.
Not suitable for circulating systems.
Excellent solubility in mineral oils and synthetic base oils. However, it is necessary to verify the solubility in the base oils used and the compatibility with other additives.
