Synergy

Composition

Complex polyester based on fatty acids, dicarboxylic acids and a polyvalent alcohols.

Average molecular weight: approx. 40,000 g/mol

Application

H-1510 is a polar polymer of high molecular weight and with multiple functional groups exhibiting a high affinity to metal surfaces. Due to it's structure H-1510 shows weak surface active properties.

H-1510 possess a high degree of saturation (iodine value: max. 5 g I2/100 g) and shows an excellent oxidative and thermal resistance but also hydrolytical stability.

H-1510 has good lubricity and anti wear properties. Therefore it is used as a component of non water miscible metal working fluids such as cutting oils or deep drawing oils.

H-1510 can substantially replace or reduce the amount of extreme pressure additives such as chloroparaffines, inactive sulfur compounds or lard oils.

H-1510 can be also used as an additive for emulsifiable metal working fluids (i.e. semisynthetic and milky emulsions) to improve anti wear properties. As an additive of emulsifiable metal working fluids H-1510 influences the droplet size of the emulsions due to its chemical structure.

Due to its polymer nature H-1510 stabilizes the emulsion and functions similarly like a protective colloid.

Treatment levels of 0.5-10%
